Participatory sports are offered at parks ranging from 3000 to 3 acres, and a scenic driving tour allows you to view the variety of trees in their colorful spring and fall foliage, or perhaps during the fullness of summer or stark browns of winter. We'd love to have you visit in all the seasons!

The county seat of Brandenburg is the central hub of the county, and many smaller communities are still thriving throughout the area - most were begun in the late 1700s or early 1800s.

Agribusiness is still the biggest employer in the county, and the Meade County Fair is an event that draws folks not only from Meade but also from surrounding counties.
The mild climate of Kentucky makes Brandenburg ideal for retirement as well as for raising families. Rain, not snow, is the primary precipitation method, and the beautiful trees and vegetation on the hilly area surrounding Brandenburg show the beneficial effects of the weather. Meade County is primarily an agricultural county, and about 1/3 of Brandenburg is still zoned agricultural.
